In light of the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), we’re emailing to let you know how we use your personal data.
What personal data do you have?
When you join Morpeth Hockey Club, we collect information such as your name, address, date of birth, contact details, ethnicity and any medical conditions which are relevant to the club. You can contact the Secretary at any time if you want to request the data we hold about you.
We never store passwords in plain text.
What do you do with my personal data?
We treat personal data with the strictest confidentiality, and information is shared with club officials on a need-to-know basis. We may share generic information such as ethnicity to England Hockey.
We may contact you on behalf of our sponsors, but you will not be contacted directly by our sponsors.
What if I leave the club?
Please don’t, but if you do leave the club, we will delete your personally identifiable information within a year of the date you resign your membership. Sometimes, we might need to keep this information for longer for financial or safeguarding purposes.

Your data will be managed by the club, who manage data in a secure hosting environment. Your data will be retained within the European Economic Area (EEA) other than where it is transferred to a third party for the purpose of setting up a payment regime where it will only leave the EEA if security meets the EU’s security requirements.
